Ammon and Kamee Preview

I had the pleasure of taking Ammon and Kamee's wedding pictures today. If I could have a guarantee that all my clients were as amazing as them, I'd probably want to do wedding photography for the rest of my life...seriously. Here's a little sneak peak of their special day :)

Man's Footprint on the Element: Rock

This is the 20 pages for my book that I was a part of making this semester in my Documentary Photo class. My other two group members did the elements Wood, and Water. I chose to show the flow of Rock (A.K.A. Ore/Metal) from its original form, how man forms, manipulates, and eventually trashes it. The concept of our book is to raise awareness of Man's Footprint on Nature.

Sneak Peak

I'm working on a semester long project with my medium format film camera documenting the process of Copper as a natural, organic, raw material and how man's footprint comes along and intervenes. Here's is one of the pictures from the batch. Considering this is my first stab at color film (thanks to the magnificent help of Blake Pack) I feel it turned out well.

Last Saturday my friend Abby and I came and had a sweet photo shoot takin some landscapes as well as photos of each other.

Photo Reflection

So I went out earlier this week to where I thought would be a gorgeous river waiting for me, and instead found a nasty swamp. Determined to find a good picture I listened inside myself and was led here.

Yesterday I received a call from my friend Marcus inviting me to go to Jackson Hole with him this morning at 3am to shoot the sunrise of the Teton Mtns and then come back in time for me to get to work by 10am. Though I still haven't slept, I have to say, it was totally worth it!

Mud Lake

Many times the only way to pass the bordom of some of my classes is to get on google earth on my iphone and travel virtually all around the world. This particular day I was looking for places that might be cool to take photos of. I saw this sweet body of water about 30 mins from rexburg so I figured I'd go check it out. To my surprise, when I came up on the lake the sign read "Mud Lake." Well, may I just say now, that name fits it perfectly! I drove too far to just turn around and go back so I figured I'd take the next couple hours to push myself creatively and see what beauty I could find at a lake who's only description of itself is Mud...Here's what I found. :)
